I AM SO EXCITED, LUCY AND I ARE SETTING UP OUR FEMINISM COMMITTEE!

It is currently called GRRRLS UNITED, but it is for everyone including the small number of boys in our sixth form - and we are going to have so much fun running a Women’s Week in March!

So far we are: creating a special dedicated issue of the school newspaper about it and I am writing about women in media + cool grrrl role models, having a bake sale to raise money for charities (to smash the idea that you cannot be intelligent and strong-willed and a feminist if you also like baking glorious red velvet cupcakes - and we will say as much to anyone who makes an obnoxious kitchen joke to us), having creative workshops to make things like badges, posters, t-shirts, and even suffragette sashes.

I have done more planning for this than I have for any of my mock exams this week, oh dear.

I AM SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS!
